History of The Brunchery

We are truly so fortunate to be part of the Valrico Community.  Overall, The Brunchery has been an established eatery in Tampa since 1988 when it first opened.  We take pride in not being a chain, but a down home, country style breakfast & lunch establishment.  We serve lots of food, from what many consider to be an exceptionally large menu.  We all love to eat, so we love to give our customers choices!  Whether it be our seven different kinds of benedicts, to our mouthwatering Strawberry Stuffed French Toast, we put our heart in everything we do.  QUALITY OF FOOD, CLEANLINESS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE NEVER OVERLOOKED.  We want to make certain that EVERY customer’s experience is delightful, and expectations are always met or surpassed.  Thank you for being part of The Brunchery in Valrico and we look forward to serving you.

A Little About the Owner

Stanley Athan took over The Brunchery in 2018.  He has a lifetime of restaurant experience growing up watching his parents, Bill and Voula Athan do it for 54 years straight. They came here from Greece as immigrants in 1966.  They owned and operated similar style diners in Seattle since before Stanley was born.  Growing up in the business, Stanley started washing dishes at 14 on weekends to save for his first car.  Having restaurants be in the family, he learned all aspects of the business.  Cooking, waiting tables, management and ownership.  Stanley believes being a restauranteur is truly a passion.  There are many moving parts for a business that is open every day of the year except for Thanksgiving and Christmas so there truly is no down time.  Preparation is key along with having an amazing staff which The Brunchery does.  Being able to meet and serve our customers at The Brunchery is a daily pleasure for Stanley and his staff.
